To facilitate the farmers, on aware of prevailing price of agricultural produce and commodity arrival information in Regulated markets, Government of India provided computers to 184 regulated markets under Marketing Research and Information Network (MRIN). These Regulated markets upload the information in www.agmarknet.nic.in web portal on daily basis

Name Pledge loan to Farmers
Benefits offered During glut season farmers store their agricultural produce in the godowns of Regulated Markets for a maximum period of 6 months and can avail pledge loan.
For the benefit of Turmeric growers the storage and Pledge loan period for Turmeric has been enhanced from six months to one year
Helps the farmers to meet out their immediate money requirement and for the preparatory activity to the next cropping season.
Small and marginal farmers can avail pledge loan up to 75% of the value of the produce and other farmers can avail 50% of the value of produce or up to the maximum of Rs. 2 lakh.
No interest for first 15 days of loan period.
Interest at the rate of 5% will be charged beyond 15 days.
Eligibility All farmers who sell their Agricultural Produce in the Regulated Markets.
Officer to be approached Superintendent / Supervisor of Regulated Market.
Time limit for Sanction / rejection One week.
Appellate Authority The Secretary, Market Committee.
